HEUREKA´17

At the invitation of the Research Society for Road and Traffic (FGSV) and the Association of German Transport Companies (VDV), A+S participated in the HEUREKA´17 in Stuttgart, from the 22nd to the 23rd of March. Every three years, experts from traffic, traffic technology, road construction, transportation organizations and associations, road administration offices, institutes of higher education, research institutes, industrial operations in the field of traffic technology and engineering offices meet in order to discuss the current trends in the fields of traffic and mobility.

The event this year was opened by Fritz Kuhn, the Lord Mayor of the state capital, Stuttgart. The discussion centered on autonomous driving and its effects on urban mobility, today and in the future. Afterwards, the Life Time Award of the heureka foundation was ceremoniously presented.

A+S Consult had the opportunity to discuss the topic "Optimization in Traffic and Transportation" with leading experts. The specialist presentations covered topics ranging from traffic management, efficiency analyses and quality, network planning in public transportation, traffic demand modelling, light signal controlling, the traffic situation, up through Mobility Sharing.
